CLARITY IS THENEW CREATIVITY.

The Fabulous.Media design philosophy, the typeset wordmark and the rules that keep every house, page and pitch unmistakably ours.

The design philosophy

TenPrinciples

“Our reader is a chief executive with four minutes and a long memory. Respect both.”

  1. 01

    Clarity is the new creativity.

In a world of endless noise, the brave thing is to be understood at first glance. If a design needs explaining, it is not finished.

  2. 02

    One idea per surface.

A page that says two things says nothing. Every section earns its place with a single idea, stated once, at the size it deserves.

  3. 03

    The weight carries the meaning.

Thin for the world, bold for the decision — FABULOUS in weight 100, .MEDIA in weight 700. Contrast of weight, never of decoration, is how we create hierarchy.

  4. 04

    Air is not empty.

Whitespace is where the reader thinks. We give a single sentence the room most brands give a paragraph, and we never fill a gap because it looks empty.

  5. 05

    Receipts, not adjectives.

We never show a number we cannot defend, a logo we were not given, or a result a client has not approved. "Unprecedented" is an adjective; a baseline is a receipt.

  6. 06

    Real marks only.

We never redraw, recolour or borrow a logo — ours or a client’s. Where a mark is not cleared, the name is set in type. That is not a compromise; it is the standard.

  7. 07

Indigo is a signal, not a paint.

Indigo marks the second line, the active state and the one thing that matters on a screen. Used everywhere, it means nothing; used once, it leads the eye.

  8. 08

    Motion explains. It never decorates.

Every animation shows a relationship — the network, the spine, the passage of time — or it is removed. Everything respects reduced motion.

  9. 09

Write for the reader, then for the machine.

Every claim lives in plain text, in the first HTML a crawler reads. Answer engines quote what a human can verify; we make sure that is the truth.

  10. 10

    Slow is a feature.

We are building for 2038, not the quarter. A design should look as considered in ten years as it does on launch day.

Identity

TheWordmark

The Fabulous.Media wordmark is typeset, not drawn: FABULOUS in Inter at a light weight and .MEDIA in Inter Bold. The weight contrast is the identity.

Horizontal

FABULOUS — Inter 200, tracking +0.05em · .MEDIA — Inter 700, tracking +0.05em · set on one baseline.

Navigation, footers, documents, email signatures, anywhere the mark sits on one line.

Stacked

FABULOUS — Inter 100, tracking −0.05em · line 2: “.” then MEDIA — Inter 700 · leading 0.85 · centred.

Rules

  • Clear space on every side equals the height of the letter “M” in MEDIA.
  • Minimum size: horizontal 120 px wide on screen (30 mm in print); stacked 80 px wide (20 mm).
  • Use the on-dark files on black and slate grounds, the on-light files on paper and vellum grounds. Those are the only two colourways.

Never

  • Do not redraw, retype or substitute the font.
  • Do not recolour, or make a single-colour (mono) version.
  • Do not change the weights — the thin/bold contrast is the mark.
  • Do not stretch, skew, outline, add shadows or effects.
  • Do not place on busy imagery or between the two grounds.
  • Do not lock up with a house or client logo without a divider and equal clear space.

Typography

One family.Many weights.

Inter — Google Fonts (SIL Open Font License). Hierarchy comes from weight and scale, never from a second typeface.
